What are your sources of emissions?

In Canada, the average breakdown for household generated emissions looks something like this:

Average Canadian per capita emissions:

17.5 tonnes carbon dioxide equivalent

There is geographic and individual variation, of course, as well as some change over time but and the breakdown is generally consistent and similar to other industrialized countries. The first goal on the road to Net Zero 2050 is a reduction in emissions of at least 40% by 2030 (from 2005 levels).

A majority of Canadians are ready to make change to stop further global warming and a larger majority are worried about climate change. Time to channel that worry into meaningful action. Let’s get it done.
